Justin & I met through some nursing friends of mine and some Army buddies of his. At the time, I wanted nothing to do with meeting a man or even thinking about a relationship; I had just gotten out of one for pete's sake! However, Jenny & Becky had been blubbering on for over a year (the entire time their men had deployed with Justin and then some) about how I needed to meet this guy. I was totally against meeting anyone, I wasn't going to be swayed!
I was interested in a girls night complete with homemade wine, spaghetti, and chick flicks. So, I went over to Jenny's place; she lived with her boyfriend (who is now her fiance) and several of his Army buddies. She assured me all the 'boys' were going to be at the range until really late and we'd have all the time in the world to talk about 'girl stuff'. When I got there, it was just Jenny & I, our wine, and the amazing smell of her cooking! Only problem was, there was a GIGANTIC amount of spaghetti and I blurted out, "Holy cow Jenny, you've cooked enough to feed the entire Army!"
Almost on cue, in walks Cody, Josie, Gomez, Drew, and finally, Justin! MMMMMHHHMMM! Ok, I'll admit it, after taking one look at him & hearing him say in his sweet southern accent: "Thanks, Jenny! This looks great!" I completely forgot about 'girls' night' and 'girl talk!'
The rest is pretty much history... although I did make him work for it!
